Thurstone named 5280 ‘Top Doc’ for 9th consecutive year

I am deeply grateful to all of the Colorado physicians who took the time to recognize my work with a ninth consecutive “Top Doc” award in 5280 magazine. Thank you.

Substance Use Disorder is one of our country’s most damaging and pressing public health problems, and Colorado is fortunate to be home to the University of Colorado’s addiction psychiatry department, which provides one of the world’s most respected medical training programs for its treatment. The state also is home to a great group of addiction-treatment specialists whose expertise is matched by their empathy for their patients. I am honored to call them colleagues — and friends.
