Marijuana’s health, policy impacts on Colorado and North Carolina

Dr. Christian Thurstone recently spoke with the Triangle Christian Medical and Dental Associations about marijuana’s impacts on health and public policy, and he provides an overview of the details of a “medical marijuana” initiative being pushed by (mostly Democratic members of) the state legislature. That initiative would create an extensive marijuana industry with significant commercialization of the drug throughout the state.

“This bill really is about creating a medical industry … and the way I read this has a lot less to do with really making available on a compassionate basis marijuana.”
