UChicago Medicine Colloquim

Dr. Christian Thurstone, chairman of behavioral health at Denver Health and a professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver, is honored to speak Feb. 11, 2026, on “Adolescent Substance Treatment: Past, Present, Future” at the February Colloquim of the University of Chicago Medicine’s Section of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. The colloquium is designed for a 60-minute presentation with 30 minutes of questions from the audience.

Dr. Thurstone is a 1998 graduate of the University’s Pritzker School of Medicine, and he completed a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the U of C in 2003.

When: Noon to 1:30 p.m., (Central), Feb. 11
Where: 860 E 59th Street, Chicago. 4th Floor, Room M412. Enter through the Goldblatt Pavillion.

The event’s learning objectives:

1. Participants will understand recent research in adolescent substance treatment.
2. Participants will synthesize this research into general principles and themes.
3. Participants will apply these basic principles in their practice, teaching, and scholarship.
