A burgeoning nonprofit organization is helping Colorado high school students find a world of professional and personal opportunities. I like the group’s aim so much that I recently agreed to join its board of advisors.
The organization is called BraveTracks — and its quickly expanding website offers an array of local leads on everything from scholarships, internships and part-time jobs to leadership-development programs and tips on fun things teens can do on the cheap in and around Denver.
BraveTracks’ website is also a good way for Denver-area businesses and nonprofit organizations to find young people who are looking for jobs and volunteer opportunities. The organization is happy to connect with people who have jobs to offer (both paid and volunteer). Also check out BraveTracks’ events calendar, which could be a great way to publicize events open to teens living in metro Denver.
