The Kids 4 Kits One Mile Fun Run is a great way for kids of all ages to experience the joy of actively doing something that makes positive differences in the lives of others.
Sponsored by Denver Presbyterian Church, the annual event raises money to build caregiver kits that are used to provide basic care to people with AIDS in areas of Africa devastated by the illness. The kits contain basic medical and hygiene supplies and are used by community volunteers, who care for friends and neighbors with limited or no access to healthcare.
Families who participate in Kids 4 Kits not only will get a chance to meet and greet on the day of the fun run, held in Central Park in Denver’s Stapleton neighborhood. They’ll all be invited for a get-together the following month, where they’ll assemble the caregiver kits their fun-run registration fees paid for.
