The Marijuana Prevention Summit is for healthcare professionals and community leaders who want information about marijuana from world experts.

You’ll receive a program schedule when you are confirmed to attend this free, invitation-only event. You’re welcome to join us for breakfast and/or the expert presentations.

You’ll learn from internationally recognized experts about:

  • risk factors that increase marijuana use in a community.
  • the latest scientific information about marijuana’s impact on public health and safety.
  • effective, community-based, marijuana-prevention strategies.
  • how you could inform people you care about.

About Chris Thurstone

Dr. Christian Thurstone is one of only a few dozen physicians in the United States who are board-certified in general, child and adolescent and addictions psychiatry. He is Director of Behavioral Health Services at Denver Health and a professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado, where he conducts research on youth substance use and addiction and serves as director of medical training for the university’s addiction psychiatry fellowship program.
